Antea Group is an international consultancy and engineering firm, operating in Europe, North and South America, Africa and Asia. A big project the Dutch department is currently leading is the restoration of the Domtoren in Utrecht.
During the week of October 22nd to 28th Antea Group opened a pop-up store at Utrecht Centraal train station. Not only to recruit new employees, but also to let the public meet with the world of engineering and discuss Antea’s future plans.
To attract visitors Dutch Rose Media created an augmented reality game for the Antea pop-up store, where visitors could virtually place the Domtoren and help restore it by playing 3 different levels. They could place brick stones, set the clocks and place the roof back on top of the Domtoren. After finishing the game, visitors were crowned Domtoren Hero.
Antea Group’s wish for the game was for visitors to actually move a lot, so others passing by would wonder what was happening at the pop-up store. Therefore people playing the Domtoren Challenge had to bend down to pick up bricks, move around the Domtoren to set all the clocks and lift the iPad to place the roof back on top using a virtual crane.
