The Effenaar is the biggest concert venue in Eindhoven. Since last year, they started focusing on new technologies such as augmented reality and virtual reality as a so-called Smart Venue. Right now they are experimenting with all kinds of technologies in the music industry and offer technology sessions for business as well.
To show the possibilities with AR & VR in the music industry, the Effenaar wanted their own app. This way both future visitors and others who are interested can see what cool projects the Effenaar are working on.
Therefore Dutch Rose Media created the Effenaar Experiences app. Live projects can be scanned with augmented reality; a great example is the DDW MUSIC leaflet. A new addition in 2018 was the Neon Signs project, showing life-size digital billboards. Many more projects will be added in the nearby future!
When you scan the Dirty Denims flyer, the bands pops up in 3D. The app is designed as a continuously moving app with the possibility of adding and changing projects via a CMS.
In October 2018 the Neon Signs project was added. People can scan the floor sticker in front of the Effenaar and life-size billboards will appear in front of the Effenaar.
