Crafted 2020, Summa College

Fashion and immersive technology are increasingly finding each other. For example, the digital presentation of van fashion is a lot more sustainable and efficient than the traditional fashion show. In addition, it remains virtually immortalized and the fashion show can be viewed at any desired time at any desired location; a good example of this is the graduation collection of Summa Fashion 2020. 

Due to the first lockdown in 2020, it was not possible for the graduation students of the Summa Fashion College to realize their regular graduation show. Together with the Summa Fashion College we joined forces and realized an innovative and sustainable alternative; a virtual fashion show in which augmented reality and volumetric video are combined in the Crafted app. A tribute to all the hard work of the graduating students and the opportunity to admire the outfits at any time via the Crafted app. 

The models and outfits are three-dimensional and filmed in full motion in the volumetric capturing stage of 4DR Studios. With this type of content, the outfits can be viewed in detail from every angle. The Crafted app, which is equipped with augmented reality, makes it possible to watch the entire graduation show in all its glory at home in the living room!
